FRANKLIN, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman women's volleyball team earned a dominant win over the Franklin Grizzlies on the road Wednesday night. The team swept the Grizzlies with final scores of 25-23, 25-16, and 25-20. This improves the Fightin' Engineers to 9-16 overall and 2-4 in the HCAC.
Amaya Harrell was the star for the Fightin' Engineers leading the team with 16 kills.
Keira Ohse was another offensive standout with 10 kills and a team-high .625 hitting percentage.
Lily Ebright totaled 13 digs while
Desiree Beverley finished with 12 to lead the Fightin' Engineers on defense.
The first set of the match proved to be a competitive one with both teams trading the lead late. Both teams were tied at 21-21 before the Fightin' Engineers were able to capitalize on some key points.
A kill from Beverley put the team ahead 24-22 and the Fightin' Engineers pulled out the win after a service error by the Grizzlies.
Rose-Hulman kept the momentum going for the rest of the match claiming decisive wins in the second and third set.
The Fightin' Engineers will continue their conference schedule traveling to Bluffton on Saturday, November 2 at 12 PM.
