HANOVER, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team picked up a big result at Hanover with a 0-0 draw on the road against the Panthers.
The first half was evenly matched with both creating several good chances, but neither team was able to find the back of the net.
Evan Lipsky had the best chance for the Fightin' Engineers in the 41st minute as the Hanover keeper had to just tip the ball over the crossbar.
In the second half of action, the Panthers controlled the chances as the outshot Rose-Hulman 7-1, but the Fightin' Engineers created some dangerous scoring chances that were thwarted inside the 18.
Lipsky led Rose-Hulman with two shots on goal.
Cameron Hannah,
Ryan Shapiro, and
Tyler Eldridge added to the shot total for Rose with one shot on goal each.
John Biederstedt was outstanding in goal with several diving saves to record his second clean sheet of the season. He made six total saves in the draw, just one shy of his season-high.
With the draw, the Fightin' Engineers move to 4-4-3 on the season and 2-0-1 in the HCAC.
