ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Rose-Hulman men's basketball team suffered a loss to the #4 WashU Bears on Friday night with a final score of 84-59. This drops the team to 0-2 to start the season.
Miles McGowen led the Fightin' Engineers one rebound short of a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Kobe Stoudemire also reached double figures with 11 points shooting 2-4 from beyond the arc.
WashU opened the game establishing a 12-point lead in the first 10 minutes of play. The Fightin' Engineers ended the half on a made three-pointer by
Joey Schmitz to cut the Bears lead to eight with a score of 39-31 at the halftime break.
Wash U was able to control the momentum in the second half building their lead to defeat Rose-Hulman. The Fightin' Engineers finished the game shooting 41.1% from the field and 35% from beyond the arc.
Rose-Hulman will return to action in their home opener against Illinois Tech on Saturday, November 23 at 4 PM.
