CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Rose-Hulman men's basketball team traveled to face Mount St. Joseph in a crucial conference match up on Saturday. The Engineers earned the win with a final score of 62-46. This improves the team to 10-13 overall and 8-8 in the HCAC.
Miles McGowen led the team with his ninth double-double of the season. He finished the game with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Other double figure scorers included
Bradley Harden (15),
Cole Pride (13), and
Kobe Stoudemire (11).
Rose-Hulman stood ahead 18-14 at the 7:53 mark of the first half. The team put together a 12-3 run topped off by a three-pointer from Stoudemire to give the Engineers their largest lead of the half at 30-17.
The team carried that momentum into the second half not giving up the lead for the remainder of the contest.
Rose-Hulman continues to hold the sixth spot at 8-8 in the HCAC standings with a two game advantage over the Lions at 6-10. The top six teams will advance to the HCAC postseason tournament.
The Fightin' Engineers will return to action traveling to face Earlham College on Tuesday, 2/13 at 7:30 PM.
