CSC ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN TEAMS
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior
Vineet Ranade has been named to the CSC Academic All-America Second-Team, announced by the College Sports Communicators on Wednesday afternoon.
Ranade earned All-American honors with a 16th-place finish in the 200 Freestyle at the NCAA National Championships. He also earned an invite to the NCAA Championship in the 200 IM in whcih he finished in 24th place.
The junior computer engineering major holds a 4.0 GPA through his junior year. The Mountain View, California native dominated the 2024 HCAC meet with six conference championships in the 200 IM, 200 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay, and 800 Freestyle Relay. He also set three school records, three HCAC records, two VCAC facility records (the home of Indiana State swimming), and swam three B-Cut qualifying times for the NCAA.
With Ranade's selection, Rose-Hulman's streak of consecutive years with a CSC Academic All-American extends to 39 consecutive years. This streak ranks No. 1 nationally among NCAA Division III institutions and No. 4 among all United States colleges by having a CSC Academic All-American in 39 consecutive calendar years. Their streak of consecutive years with an Academic All-American trails only Stanford, Georgia, and Penn State after Bucknell's was snapped at 44 in 2023.
Rose-Hulman's cumulative total of CSC Academic All-Americans of 146 ranks in the 11th nationally in NCAA Division III.
