TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- We are now under four months away from the 2024-25 Rose-Hulman women's basketball season which means it is time to break down the schedule. The full schedule can be seen
HERE.
The 2024-25 season tips off with the 29th Annual Crosstown Classic between the Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers and the St. Mary of the Woods Pomeroys. The Pomeroys lead the Crosstown Classic history 15-13 dating back to the 1995 season including a win at SMWC last year. This year's meeting will be held in Hulbert Arena on November 7. The full history of the Crossroads Classic can be seen
HERE.
The Fightin' Engineers will only host one more non-conference game this season with the Principia Panthers coming to town on November 14. It will be the first-ever meeting between Rose-Hulman and Principia.
Rose-Hulman will hit the road for three non-conference games, traveling to Millikin, Greenville, and Spalding. The Fightin' Engineers have not played the Big Blue or the Panthers in over 20 years with the last meetings coming in 2004 and 2003.
The last two non-conference games for Rose-Hulman will be the Midwest Challenge at Washington University in St. Louis on November 30 and December 1. Rose-Hulman will battle the hosts, WashU, on Saturday with DePauw and Illinois Wesleyan playing in the second game. The Championship and Third-Place games will take place on Sunday. This will be the 31st rendition of the Midwest Challenge that dates back to 1993. The Fightin' Engineers joined the challenge in 2017. For the full Midwest Challenge history, click

Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play tips off on December 4 as the Fightin' Engineers host the Manchester Spartans at 7:30 PM. Rose-Hulman will travel to Bluffton on December 7 before also hosting Anderson and Earlham on December 14 and 18 to finish off the early part of conference action.
After the new year, the Fightin' Engineers will play six more home games including Transylvania (January 11), Hanover (January 15), Franklin (January 29), Berea (February 1), Mount St. Joseph (February 12), and Bluffton (February 15).
Rose-Hulman will also play eight more road games including Berea (January 4), Mount St. Joseph (January 8), Franklin (January 18), Manchester (January 22), Hanover (February 5), Anderson (February 8), and Earlham (February 19).
The Fightin' Engineers will play five games against teams that made the 2024 NCAA DIII Tournament this season including Berea, Millikin, Transylvania, WashU, and either DePauw or Illinois Wesleyan. Millikin and Illinois Wesleyan each picked up opening round wins in the tournament last season with the Big Blue taking down Willamette and the Titans taking down Concordia-Moorhead. Millikin fell to Wisconsin-Whitewater and Illinois Wesleyan fell to Wartburg in the second round. DePauw and Berea faced off in the opening round of the tournament last season with the Tigers coming away with a 74-52 victory before falling to Hope in the second round. WashU joined Berea going one and done in the NCAA Tournament after falling 71-61 to Wisconsin-Stout.
The Transylvania Pioneers made another deep run in the NCAA Tournament last season, making their second consecutive Final Four. They picked up four wins along the way over Chatham, Ohio Wesleyan, Wisconsin-Stout, and Wisconsin-Whitewater before falling to the eventual national champions, New York University. The Pioneers lost their head coach Julie Fulks during the offseason after she was named the Head Coach at Marshall University.
We hope to see you all at Hulbert Arena at 7:30 PM on November 7 as the Fightin' Engineers open their 2024 home campaign against the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Pomeroys.
