DECATUR, Ill. -- Rose-Hulman men's soccer traveled to face the Millikin Big Blue on Saturday afternoon. The team suffered a loss to Millikin with a final score of 2-1. This drops the team to 1-2-2 overall this season.
The Fighitn' Engineers got on the board early in the ninth minute on a goal from
Eli Miller to take an early lead. Millikin was able to find the equalizer on a penalty shot in the 33rd minute to tie the match at the halftime break.Â
Millikin out-shot Rose-Hulman 9-4 in the second half ultimately scoring the game winning goal in the 89th minute of the contest to hand Rose-Hulman their second loss of the season.Â
John Biederstedt represented the Fightin' Engineers in goal totaling six saves in the match.Â
Rose-Hulman will look to get back on track as they return home to host #13 Ohio Northern on Saturday, September 21 at 3:30 PM.Â
