TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology fell to #15 Ohio Northern on Saturday afternoon in a 1-0 battle.
The first half was back and forth with both teams creating chances on both ends of the field. Ohio Northern made one save on a great chance for the Fightin' Engineers, and
John Biederstedt came up with a pair of nice saves to keep Ohio Northern off the score sheet.
In the second half, the Polar Bears controlled the possession and out-shot the Fightin' Engineers 13-1 in the final 45 minutes. Ohio Northern took the lead on a penalty kick off a handball in the box, and they would hold on for the 1-0 victory.
Biederstedt finished the game with 7 saves, tying his season-high in the loss.
Rose-Hulman returns to action on Wednesday, September 25 as they travel to Southern Indiana to take on the Screamin' Eagles for a 7 PM CT kickoff. The match will stream live on ESPN+ and mark the first Rose-Hulman sporting event to stream live on the ESPN family of networks in the school's history.
