TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman women's soccer battled the #1 team in NCAA Division III on Saturday in the WashU Bears. The Bears defeated the Fightin' Engineers with a final score of 5-0. This drops Rose-Hulman to 1-6 overall this season.
WashUÂ was able to strike first taking the lead in the 18th minute on a goal by Emma Riley McGahan. The team held a 1-0 lead at the halftime break. The Bears controlled the ball in the second half finishing the game out-shooting the Fightin' Engineers 26-2.Â
The Bears added four more goals in the second half to seal the victory and remain undefeated on the season.Â

Jayden Gibson led the Fightin' Engineers with one shot each. Goalkeeper
Lily Doré represented Rose-Hulman in the net with five saves on the afternoon.
The Fightin' Engineers will look to bounce back as they begin conference play traveling to face Bluffton on Saturday, September 28 at 1 PM.Â
