TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman men's track & field team picked up a first-place team finish in the Friday Night Spikes Opener. The team came away with seven event wins and 16 top-three finishes in the meet. 

Rose-Hulman was led by multiple standout individual performances. Kolton Nanko earned his collegiate personal record with a first-place finish in the pole vault clearing a height of 14' 9". 

Other first-place finishers included Thomas Tullius in the 5000-meter run, James Kaunas in the triple jump, Connor Bodie in the 400-meter dash, and Andrew Shields in the 200-meter dash. 

The 4x200-meter relay team of Jack Cox, Tristan Stephens, Stephon Pugh, and Caleb Heldman, and the 4x400-meter relay team of Vance Steele, Andrew Shields, James DiMarco, and Connor Bodie also claimed event wins on the night. 

The Fightin' Engineers will continue the Friday Night Spikes Series hosting the second installment on Friday, January 24 at 5:30 PM.
