TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman men's track & field team traveled individuals to three separate meets this Friday, competing in the Sycamore Open hosted by Indiana State, the Billy Hayes Invitational hosted by Indiana University, and the St. Francis Fighting Chance hosted by the University of St. Francis. 

Xaiden Jenson had an impressive performance for the Fightin' Engineers at the Billy Hayes Invite. Jenson broke a 36-year-old school record in the 800-meter run with an 11th-place finish and a time of 1:52.96. His time breaks the previous school record in the event, held by Bob Jacobs with a time of 1:53.70 in the 1990 season. 

Grant Subbert led the throwers at the Sycamore Open with a third-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 53.72 meters (176' 3"). His throw ranks third in the school record books in the event. 

Andrew Shields led the team on the track at Indiana State. He recorded a career-best time of 48.17 in the 400-meter dash to finish fourth overall. His time ranks third in the Rose-Hulman school record book. 

James Kaunas was the top jumper for Rose-Hulman, placing second in the triple jump with a mark of 13.10 meters (42' 11.75"). 

The Rose-Hulman men's track & field team will return to action in the Augustana Midwest Twilight Qualifier on Wednesday, May 13.
