Volleyball Travels to Cincinnati for HCAC Showdown Against MSJ

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman volleyball team continues their conference schedule, traveling to take on Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, October 18, at 2 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 13-7 overall this year and 1-1 in the HCAC after defeating Berea in HCAC action last Saturday with a final score of 3-0.
* The win over Berea marked the 100th career win for Head Coach Rachel Delsi in her eighth season with the Fightin' Engineers. 
* Lily Ebright was named the HCAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for her performances against Berea and Greenville. 
* Ebright totaled 56 digs, averaging 8.00 digs per set on the week. 
Greta Carlson leads the team with 232 kills this season, averaging 3.41 kills per set. 
Keira Ohse is another standout for the Fightin' Engineers with 177 kills and a team-high .346 hitting percentage. 
Julia Irmen leads the team and the conference with 10.33 assists per set, which ranks 9th in all of NCAA DIII. 
Lily Ebright is the star defensively with 435 digs and 6.30 digs per set. Her digs per set average leads the conference and ranks 3rd in NCAA DIII. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish sixth in the 2025 HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 40 points. 
* The team returns three HCAC All-Conference players, including Lily EbrightAmaya Harrell, and Keira Ohse.
* Ebright is the team's top returner after earning Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season last year. 
* The team is led by Rachel Delsi, entering her eighth year at the helm of the program. 
* After facing MSJ, Rose-Hulman will host Franklin College on Wednesday, October 22, at 7 PM for their Cancer Research Game. 

MOUNT ST. JOSEPH NOTES:
* The Lions stand at 7-10 overall this season and undefeated at 2-0 in HCAC play. 
* The team comes off a win over Manchester with a final score of 3-0. 
* The Lions will host Ohio Wesleyan on Thursday, October 16, at 7 PM, before hosting Rose-Hulman on Saturday.
* Emma Sicking leads the team with 210 kills this season, averaging 3.56 kills per set. 
* Hannah Graves is another offensive weapon with 189 kills, averaging 3.15 kills per set.
* Ava Moore is the leading setter with 349 assists on the year, averaging 5.92 assists per set. 
* Lyndsey Stehpenson is the top defender, totaling 328 digs, averaging 5.21 digs per set. 
* MSJ was selected to finish second in the HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 71 points and one first-place vote.
* The team is led by Head Coach John Spinney, who is in his 6th season with the Lions. 
* After hosting Rose-Hulman, MSJ will travel to Hanover on Wednesday, October 22, at 7 PM. 

MOUNT ST. JOSEPH SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman trails in the all-time series between both teams with a record of 5-16 overall against the Lions.
* The Fightin' Engineers have dropped their last six matches against MSJ, dating back to the 2019 season.  
* The last time Rose-Hulman defeated MSJ was during the 2018 season with a final score of 3-2.
* Rose-Hulman has an all-time road record of 3-7 when traveling to face the Lions.
