LEXINGTON, Ky. – Rose-Hulman matched up with Transylvania, where they tied the Pioneers by a score of 0-0.
The Fightin' Engineers had a much better game on the offensive side, where they recovered 16 total shots to five from the Pioneers. 13 of Rose-Hulman's shots would be on target, while both teams would attempt four corner kicks.
Lauren Marquardt attempted a team-high five total shots, with three coming on target.
Iliana Hernandez would also record three shots on goal, while
Sydnee Schuler added two shots on goal.
The Fightin' Engineers' defensive line of
Camille Clark,
Ally Smith,
Alex Adams, and
Vianey Garcia would once again have a great game, as they allowed just two shots on goal while each played appeared in all 90 minutes.
Both shots on goal were saved by
Brooke Spurlock in the 18
th and 50
th minutes, as she garnered her eighth shutout on the year.
The Fightin' Engineers will continue their road trip as they go up against the Anderson Ravens. The match will be held on Wednesday, October 22, at 3:30 PM.
