Volleyball Hosts Hanover for National Girls and Women's in Sports Day

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman volleyball team continues their conference schedule, hosting Hanover for National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, October 25, at 11 AM.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 14-8 overall this year and 2-2 in the HCAC.
* The team comes of a conference win after defeating the Franklin Grizzlies in their Cancer Research Game with a score of 3-1.
* Greta Carlson leads the team with 261 kills this season, averaging 3.39 kills per set. 
* Keira Ohse is another standout for the Fightin' Engineers with 190 kills and a team-high .333 hitting percentage. 
* Julia Irmen leads the team and the conference with 10.15 assists per set, which ranks 14th in all of NCAA DIII. 
* Lily Ebright is the star defensively with 471 digs and 6.04 digs per set. Her digs per set average leads the conference and ranks 4th in NCAA DIII. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish sixth in the 2025 HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 40 points. 
* The team returns three HCAC All-Conference players, including Lily Ebright, Amaya Harrell, and Keira Ohse.
* Ebright is the team's top returner after earning Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season last year. 
* The team is led by Rachel Delsi, entering her eighth year at the helm of the program. 
* The win over Berea earlier this season marked the 100th career win for Head Coach Rachel Delsi in her eighth season with the Fightin' Engineers. 
* After hosting Hanover, the Fightin' Engineers will host Anderson on Wednesday, October 29, for their White Out Match at 7 PM. 

HANOVER NOTES:
* Hanover stands at 14-9 overall and 2-2 in the HCAC this season. 
* The Panthers come off a loss to Mount St. Joseph with a final score of 3-2.
* Abbey McCoy leads the team with 258 kills, averaging 2.80 kills per set. 
* Elliot Mays is another standout with 43 kills, averaging 2.67 kills per set. 
* Brooke Gervers is the Panthers' leading setter with 442 assists on the year and 4.86 assists per set. 
* Madison Schicker is the top defender for Hanover with 418 digs this season, averaging 4.75 digs per set. 
* Hanover was selected to finish fourth in the HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 58 points. 
* The team is led by Head Coach Peter Preocanin in his 27th season with the Panthers. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Hanvoer will travel to take on Transylvania on Wednesday, October 29, at 7 PM.

* Rose-Hulman trails in the all-time series between both teams with a record of 14-23 against the Panthers. 
* The Fightin' Engineers fell to Hanover in their last match during the 2024 season with a final score of 3-0.
