Rose-Hulman Volleyball Faces MSJ in HCAC Quarterfinals Wednesday Night

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman volleyball team enters the HCAC Tournament as the #6 seed. The Fightin' Engineers will travel to take on the #3-seeded Mount St.Joseph University Lions on Wednesday, November 12, at 7 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman finished the regular season with a record of 16-11 overall and 4-5 in the HCAC.
* The Fightin' Engineers finished the year, earning the #6 seed in the HCAC Tournament. The top eight teams will be featured in the conference postseason.
* The team comes off Senior Day sweep over Bluffton with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-15.
Greta Carlson leads the team with 319 kills this season, averaging 3.29 kills per set. 
Emma Blanton is another standout with 252 kills on the year, averaging 3.3 kills per set.
* Keira Ohse has been efficient for the Fightin' Engineers with a team-high .327 hitting percentage, totaling 238 kills and 2.43 kills per set.
* Ohse also leads the defense at the net with 44 blocks this season. 
Julia Irmen leads the team and ranks second in the conference with 10.07 assists per set, which ranks 19th in all of NCAA DIII. 
Lily Ebright is the star defensively with 586 digs and 5.98 digs per set. Her digs per set average leads the conference and ranks sixth in NCAA DIII. 
* The Fightin' Engineers were picked to finish sixth in the 2025 HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 40 points. 
* The team returns three HCAC All-Conference players, including Lily EbrightAmaya Harrell, and Keira Ohse.
* Ebright is the team's top returner after earning Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season last year. 
* The team is led by Rachel Delsi, entering her eighth year at the helm of the program. 
* The win over Berea earlier this season marked the 100th career win for Head Coach Rachel Delsi in her eighth season with the Fightin' Engineers. 
* With a win, Rose-Hulman will advance to the HCAC Semifinals on Saturday, November 15, at 5 PM to face the winner of Transylvania or Franklin. 

MOUNT ST. JOSEPH NOTES:
* Mount St. Joseph finished the regular season with a record of 11-14 overall and 6-3 in the HCAC.
* The team finished the year earning the #3 seed in the HCAC Tournament. 
* The Lions come off a loss to Earlham with a final score of 3-1. 
* Emma Sicking leads the team with 308 kills, averaging 3.38 kills per set this season. 
* Hannah Graves is another standout hitter with 282 kills and 3.07 kills per set.
* Ava Moore is the top setter for the Mount with 499 assists, averaging 5.48 assists per set. 
* Lyndsey Stephenson leads the defense with 465 digs and 4.89 digs per set. 
* Sydney Doty has been a force at the net with a team-high 55 blocks this season. 
* MSJ was picked to finish second in the HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 71 points and one first-place vote
* The team is led by Head Coach John Spinney in his seventh season with the Lions.
* With a win, MSJ will advance to the HCAC Semifinals on Saturday, November 15, at 5 PM to face the winner of Transylvania or Franklin. 

MOUNT ST. JOSEPH SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman trails in the all-time series against Rose-Hulman with a record of 5-17 overall.
* The team has lost seven matches in a row to the Lions, dating back to the 2019 season.
* The Fightin' Engineers fell short to the Lions during the regular season in an exciting five-set match, 3-2.
* The last time the team defeated MSJ was during the 2018 season with a final score of 3-2. 
* Rose-Hulman has an all-time away record of 3-8 against the Lions.
