TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman has achieved nine All-HCAC selections, totaling the third most in a season in RHIT history. Four Fightin' Engineers were named to the All-HCAC 1
st team, four were named to the All-HCAC 2
nd Team, and one was honored as an All-HCAC 3
rd Teamer.
Senior
Camille Clark has been awarded the HCAC Defensive Player of the Year. Clark was also named to the All-HCAC 1
st Team for the second consecutive season, and she is a three-time All-HCAC honoree (2
nd-Team in 2022). Clark helped lead Rose-Hulman's defense to an HCAC-leading ten shutouts on the season, while allowing the fewest goals in the conference at just 13. She has appeared in all 90 minutes over her past 14 games, while recording three goals and one assist. Clark has scored all three of her goals across the past four games, including the game-winning goal in Rose-Hulman's 1-0 victory over Hanover in the HCAC Championship. Following the HCAC Tournament, Clark was named the 2025 HCAC Tournament Most Valuable Player.
Senior
Lauren Marquardt returns to the All-HCAC 1
st Team for the third time in her career. She has previously been named to the All-HCAC 1
st Team in 2024 and 2022, as well as the All-HCAC 2
nd team in 2023. Marquardt finished seventh in the HCAC with 18 total points, recording six goals and six assists. She scored goals in three straight games against Berea, Hanover, and Franklin, highlighted by a two-goal performance against the Grizzlies. Marquardt has dished out one assist in four of Rose-Hulman's past five games. She recorded both a goal and an assist in the 3-1 HCAC Semifinal victory over Transylvania and followed that up by recording the game-winning assist in the HCAC Championship.
Junior
Ally Smith has been named to the All-HCAC 1
st Team for the first time in her career. Smith led all field players with 1,589 minutes of action, while starting in all 19 games. She recorded three assists on the season, where she picked up a team-high two assists against St. Mary-of-the-Woods. Smith has also helped lead the Fightin' Engineers' defense to ten shutouts this season, while allowing only 13 goals. She played all 90 minutes in both playoff games, highlighted by a shutout against Hanover to claim the 2025 HCAC Title.
Senior
Katie Choi hauled in All-HCAC 1
st Team honors for the first time in her career. Choi started in all 19 games for a total of 1,164 minutes. She scored three goals with one assist, finishing with seven points on the season. Choi scored the opening goal in Rose-Hulman's win over Berea in the HCAC opener, and she added a team-high two goals against Bluffton on her Senior Day.
Sophomore
Sydnee Schuler was named to her first All-HCAC 2
nd Team. Schuler finished fourth in the HCAC with 19 total points. She scored six goals while finishing second in the HCAC with seven assists. Schuler recorded both a goal and an assist against Webster and Bluffton. She picked up assists in three consecutive games to start the conference season and closed out the regular season by scoring one goal in three straight games. Schuler would then have her best game in the HCAC Semifinals, scoring two goals with one assist in the 3-1 victory over Transylvania to send the Fightin' Engineers to the HCAC Championship.
Sophomore
Iliana Hernandez achieved All-HCAC 2
nd Team honors for the first time in her career. Hernandez finished third on the team with 12 total points, scoring five goals while adding two assists. She kicked off the season with two goals against St. Mary-of-the-Woods and added goals in back-to-back games against Hanover and Franklin. Hernandez scored the opening goal in Rose-Hulman's win over the #1-seed at the time in Anderson, and she added an assist in the Fightin' Engineers' semifinal victory.
Senior
Brooke Spurlock was selected to her first All-HCAC 2
nd Team. She started in all 19 games this season, appearing in a team-high 1,661 minutes. Spurlock led the HCAC with ten shutouts on the season, which is currently one away from tying the single-season record in school history. She led the conference with just 0.71 goals allowed per game, while accumulating a 74.5% save percentage with 38 saves. Spurlock recorded an 83.3% save percentage during the HCAC Tournament to help lead Rose-Hulman to the conference title.
Junior
Riley Heasley was named to the All-HCAC 2
nd Team for the first time in her career. She started in all 19 games for a total of 1,221 minutes. Heasley recorded two assists on the season, which included an assist on the opening goal in Rose-Hulman's win over the #1-seeded Anderson Ravens.
Senior
Alex Adams garnered all-conference honors for the first time in her career as she was named to the All-HCAC 3
rd Team. She started in all 19 games on the season, appearing in 995 minutes. Adams dished out two assists, which included an assist on the final goal of the HCAC Semifinals to secure the 3-1 win over Transylvania.
The Fightin' Engineers are coming off a 1-0 victory over Hanover in the HCAC Championship. They will play in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament against Case Western Reserve on Saturday, November 15, at 5:30 PM.
