TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman has hauled in multiple All-Region VII Award Winners, as
Jacob Pohl was named to the All-Region 3
rd Team, while
Oliver Fila was named to the All-Region 4
th Team.
Senior
Jacob Pohl concludes his RHIT career as a three-time All-HCAC 1
st Team Selection, while receiving All-Region 3
rd Team honors for the first time in his career. Pohl led Rose-Hulman's defensive line, which allowed the fewest goals in the HCAC at 13, while also leading the conference with nine shutouts. He started every game of the season, appearing in all 90 minutes in 13 games, and a total of 1,611 minutes throughout the year. Pohl scored goals in consecutive matches against Franklin and Mt. St. Joseph, and he assisted on the winning goal against Manchester, which clinched the #3-seed in the HCAC Tournament.
Junior
Oliver Fila hauled in All-Region 4
th Team honors for the first time in his career, and he was also named to the All-HCAC 2
nd Team this season. Fila started in every game this season, where he totaled 1,451 minutes. He accumulated ten points as he scored three goals and recorded a team-high four assists. Fila scored his first goal of the season against Millikin and followed up that performance with an assist against St. Mary-of-the-Woods. He added goals in back-to-back games to close out the regular season, which included the game-winning goal against Manchester to secure the #3-seed in the HCAC Tournament.
Rose-Hulman posted a 10-5-4 record on the season, achieving double-digit victories for the fifth consecutive season. The Fightin' Engineers went 4-2-3 in HCAC action, where their season was highlighted by a 1-0 win over Anderson in the Quarterfinals of the HCAC Tournament.
