INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's track and field team sent three individuals to the Midwest Classic at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Saturday and came back with a rewritten record book.
Carter Lindfelt led the Fightin' Engineers by breaking an 11-year-old school record in the 3000m Run with a time of 8:34.87. His time also ranks 4th all-time in HCAC history and 2nd in the HCAC this year. He finished in 10th place in a field of all Division I teams.
Thomas Tullius also ran in the 3000m Run and brought home a 16th place finish with a time of 8:54.26. Thomas currently ranks 4th in the HCAC in the 3000m Run this season.
Connor Bodie ran the 800m Run on Saturday and finished in 11th place with a time of 2:02.08.
The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Saturday, February 8 with a split-squad weekend as the team will compete in the Anderson Invitational at Anderson University and the Fairgrounds Invitational at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
