TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's track and field team brought home a 7th place finish at Indiana State's John Gartland Invitational on Saturday afternoon in their final pre-HCAC tune-up.
Carter Lindfelt was the star for the Fightin' Engineers as he recorded the fourth-fastest Mile Run time in school history and the ninth-fastest Mile Run time in HCAC history in the meet. His time of 4:20.06 tops his previous personal best time by over five seconds as he tallied a 2nd-place finish in the event.
Brady Socha was the lone other top-5 finish for Rose-Hulman as he finished in fifth place in the 800m Run with a time of 2:00.22.
Overall in the meet, the Fightin' Engineers recorded 13 total top-10 finishes against high-level Division I competition.
With the conclusion of the regular season, the Fightin' Engineers set their sights on the 2025 HCAC Championship meet at Anderson University on March 1 as they look to win their fifth consecutive conference title.
