ANDERSON, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's track and field team claimed their third first-place team finish of the season at the Anderson Invitational with a team score of 113. The team also had a select few individuals perform well at the Fairgrounds Invitational.

Rose-Hulman beat out nine other teams in the Anderson Invite, recording two event wins and nine top-three finishes. 

Vance Steele was one of the top finishers for Rose-Hulman, earning an event win in the 400m Dash. James Kaunas earned the other event win for the Fightin' Engineers, claiming a first-place finish in the Triple Jump.

Antoine Cooper continued to climb the Rose-Hulman record books in the Weight Throw as he recorded a career-best mark of 55' 10" which ranks third in Rose-Hulman history.

Carter Lindfelt was the top finisher at the Fairgrounds Invitational, earning an event win in the 5000m Run. His time of 14:57.91 is the second-fastest in school history, finishing just 0.21 seconds from the school record set last season by Lindfelt's teammate, Thomas Tullius.

Andrew Shields also entered the Rose-Hulman record books on Saturday as he recorded the fifth-fastest time in school history in the 400m Dash with a time of 49.79 seconds, the fastest 400m Dash time by a Fightin' Engineer since Josh Hennig in 2016.

The Fightin' Engineers will return to action next weekend as they compete in another multi-meet weekend when they travel to the DePauw Invitational and the Blue-White Classic at Indiana State on Saturday.
