TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers welcomed Greenville University to Art Nehf Field on Tuesday night. The team defeated the Panthers with a final score of 6-3. This advances the team to 10-9 overall this season.
Mason Rasmussen led the team at the plate, going 4-5 with one RBI.
Connor O'Connell was another standout, finishing 3-5 with one run scored and two RBIs.
Rose-Hulman took the lead after scoring two runs in the first two innings. Greenville got on the board with a run in the top of the sixth to make the score 2-1.

Peter Rogers brought home a run by
Jackson Summers in the bottom of the sixth to extend the Rose-Hulman lead to 3-1.
A run by each team in the seventh made the score 4-2. Greenville threatened the Rose-Hulman lead, cutting the deficit to one after scoring in the eighth to make the score 4-3.
Rose-Hulman finished strong with a double by O'Connell, bringing in a run by Rogers, and a single by Rasmussen, scoring a run by
Issei Takahashi to seal the win over the Panthers.
Zacheus Carr earned the win on the mound, pitching 3.0 innings with two strikeouts.
Jonathan Oliger earned his first save of the year, pitching the last 3.0 innings with four strikeouts.
Rose-Hulman will return to HCAC action this weekend, hosting Hanover College on Friday, April 4, at 7 PM.
