TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman baseball team started their three-game series against Hanover on Sunday. The team dropped the first game of the series with a final score of 16-3. This drops the team to 10-10 overall and 3-4 in the HCAC this season.
Brady Strawmyer was the standout on the mound for the Fightin' Engineers. He had an impressive start on the bump, pitching 6.0 innings with 10 strikeouts while allowing only one run.
Mark Serdinak led the team at the plate, finishing 2-2 with one run scored and one RBI.
Rose-Hulman stood ahead 3-1 after the fourth inning of play. The Hanover Panthers put together a monstrous seventh inning, racking up eight runs to take control of the lead.
The deficit proved too much to overcome as Rose-Hulman would suffer the loss after eight innings.
