TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- College Sports Communicators has announced the Academic All-America honorees for the sport of men's swimming & diving. Rose-Hulman standout Vineet Ranade has been named the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for NCAA Division III.

With a perfect 4.0 GPA, Ranade was also a first-team honoree in this year's release by CSC. The senior computer engineering major becomes just the fourth CSC Academic All-America Team Member of the Year in Rose-Hulman history and the first since 2020. He joins Eric Kirby (men's soccer 2020-21), Ryan Loftus (men's track & field 1998), and Kevin Kleumper (baseball, 1992) as Academic All-America of the Year winners.

Ranade is now a two-time Academic All-American after earning second-team honors last season. He has received countless recognitions this year, including being named the NCAA Elite 90 recipient and HCAC Men's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Year.

The Elite 90 Award is a prestigious accolade that is given to the student-athlete competing in each of the NCAA's 90 championships with the highest cumulative GPA. Ranade becomes the first Rose-Hulman swimmer to win the Elite 90 Award and only the second student-athlete in Rose-Hulman history to receive the honor from the NCAA.

Ranade finished his senior year breaking five individual records and contributing to two relay school records. His individual records included the 50 freestyle (20.35), 100 freestyle (44.72), 100 backstroke (49.59), 200 IM (1:48.61), and the 200 breaststroke (1:59.50). He was also a member of the record-breaking 400 medley relay team and 800 freestyle relay team.

Ranade's Academic All-America status extends Rose-Hulman's streak to 40 consecutive calendar years, as they have had a student-athlete earn Academic All-America honors in every single calendar year since 1985.
