ANDERSON, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman baseball team defeated Anderson on Sunday with a final score of 6-2. The victory seals the win in the weekend series over the Ravens. This improves Rose-Hulman to 19-16 overall and 12-7 in the HCAC.
Anderson jumped to a 2-0 lead after the third inning. The Fightin' Engineers took the lead after runs by
Mason Rasmussen,
Jackson Harms, and
Jackson Summers in the fourth inning to make the score 3-2.Â
Rasmussen extended the lead with a two-run homer in the fifth, bringing in a run by
Connor O'Connell to make the score 5-2. Rose-Hulman brought in another run by
Jonathan Oliger in the sixth to seal the win.Â
Tyler Orr earned the win on the mound, pitching 6.0 innings with four strikeouts. Rasmussen led the team at the plate, finishing the day going 2-4 with two runs and two RBIs.Â
The Fightin' Engineers will return to action, traveling to face Wabash on Wednesday, April 30, at 5 PM. Â
