NORMAL, Ill. -- The Rose-Hulman men's golf team earned an eighth-place finish at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational over the weekend. The team finished the tournament with a team score of 599.
Austin Frick was the top finisher for the Fightin' Engineers with a tie for 28th individually after shooting rounds of 78 (+7) and 70 (-2) for a total score of 148 (+5).
Owen King was another standout with a tie for 51st place, shooting rounds of 75 (+4) and 76 (+4) for a total score of 151 (+8).
Nate Benson was the third-highest finisher for the Fightin' Engineers with a tie for 66th place, shooting rounds of 74 (+3) and 78 (+6) for a total score of 152 (+9).
The men's golf team hit the road to compete in the Cochran Collegiate hosted by Rhodes College on Monday, April 14, and Tuesday, April 15.
