TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman women's volleyball team will hit the road to begin their 2025 season. The team will compete in the Lady Blues Challenge hosted by Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois, on Friday, August 29, and Saturday, August 30.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish sixth in the 2025 HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 40 points.
* The team finished last season with a record of 11-17 overall and 4-5 in the HCAC.
* Rose-Hulman barely missed out on the HCAC Tournament, finishing seventh in the league standings.
* The team returns three HCAC All-Conference players, including
Lily Ebright,
Amaya Harrell, and
Keira Ohse.
* Ebright is the team's top returner after earning Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season last year.
* Ebright led the team with 782 digs and 7.31 digs per set, which led the conference and the entire NCAA across all divisions.
* Emma Blanton and
Greta Carlson have also been named players to watch by the HCAC this upcoming year.
* The team is led by
Rachel Delsi, entering her eighth year at the helm of the program.
* After competing in the Lady Blues Challenge, the team will return home to host the Rose-Hulman Invitational on Friday, September 5, and Saturday, September 6.
EUREKA NOTES:
* Eureka opens their season facing the Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers on Friday.
* The Red Devils finished the 2024 season with a record of 4-18 overall and 4-12 in the SLIAC.
* The team has been picked to finish sixth in the SLIAC Preseason Poll.
* The team returns every starter from last year's team, including Second Team All-Conference selection Alyssa Company.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Eureka will play North Central on Friday, August 29, at 7 PM CT.
EUREKA HISTORY
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 9-2 overall.
* The Fightin' Engineers have won nine straight matches dating back to the 2003 season.
