LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Rose-Hulman women's soccer team traveled to face Spalding on Wednesday night. The match ended in a scoreless draw to move the Fightin' Engineers to 1-2-1 overall this season.

The match turned into a defensive battle from the beginning, with both teams being limited on scoring opportunities. Both Spalding and Rose-Hulman totaled one shot each in the first half. 

Rose-Hulman finished the match with two shots on goal from Alexis Willour and Emma Johns, but neither was able to connect with the net to break the scoreless tie. 

Brooke Spurlock represented the Fightin' Engineers in goal for all 90 minutes of the match. The Rose-Hulman defense did not allow a shot on goal for the entire contest. 

The women's soccer team will return home to host Illinois Tech in their Faculty and Staff Appreciation Game on Saturday, September 13, at 2 PM.
