Volleyball Puts Unbeaten Record on the Line at the Earlham Invite This Weekend

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman volleyball team will travel to compete in the Earlham Invitational on Saturday, September 13. The team will face Kenyon at 11 AM and Denison at 3 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands undefeated at 7-0 overall this season after picking up a win against Webster on Wednesday night with a final score of 3-0.
* This is the best start to the season since 2010, when the Fightin' Engineers went 9-0 to start the season. 
Greta CarlsonKeira Ohse, and Lily Ebright all earned All-Tournament recognition at the Lady Blues Challenge and the Rose-Hulman Invite.
* Carlson leads the team with 83 kills this year, averaging 3.61 kills per set.
* Ohse is another key contributor with 66 kills and a team-high .439 attack percentage. 
* Ebright is the top defender for Rose-Hulman, totaling 135 digs, averaging 5.63 digs per set.
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish sixth in the 2025 HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 40 points. 
* The team returns three HCAC All-Conference players, including Lily EbrightAmaya Harrell, and Keira Ohse.
* Ebright is the team's top returner after earning Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season last year. 
* Ebright led the team with 782 digs and 7.31 digs per set, which led the conference and the entire NCAA across all divisions. 
* The team is led by Rachel Delsi, entering her eighth year at the helm of the program. 
* After competing in the Earlham Invitational, Rose-Hulman will travel to take on DePauw on Wednesday, September 17, at 7 PM. 

KENYON NOTES:
* Kenyon stands at 1-5 overall this year.
* The team comes off a loss to Kalamazoo on Saturday with a final score of 3-2. 
* The team will face Earlham to start the weekend tournament on Friday, September 12, before taking of the Fightin' Engineers. 
* Olivia Gumz leads the team with 69 kills this season, averaging 3.00 kills per set. 
* Mariyah Rumpca-Veronese is another standout for the Owls with 60 kills this season and 3.16 kills per set. 
* Lauren Blakemore has made an impact defensively with a team-high 107 digs and 4.65 digs per set. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Kenyon will battle Alma College on Saturday, September 13, at 1 PM. 

KENYON SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the series between both teams with a record of 5-1 against the Owls. 
* The Fightin' Engineers fell short in their last match against Kenyon during the 2018 season, with a final score of 3-0.
* Before that, Rose had defeated Kenyon five straight matches dating back to the 2005 season. 

DENISON NOTES:
* Denison stands at 4-2 overall this season.
* The Big Red comes off a loss to Calvin on Saturday with a final score of 3-1. 
* Denison will face Earlham and Alma on Friday, September 12, then Heidelberg on Saturday, September 13, before taking on Rose-Hulman.
* Claire Hamilton is the top performer for the Big Red, totaling 74 kills this season, averaging .308 kills per set. 
* Ayla Dunbar is another standout for the team, totaling 69 kills and 3.14 kills per set. 
* Sadie Habeeb leads the team on defense with 93 digs, averaging 3.88 digs per set. 
* After facing the Fightin' Engineers, Denison will travel to take on Marietta College on Tuesday, September 16 at 7 PM. 

DENISON SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman trails Denison in the all-time series between both teams with a record of 1-7 against the Big Red.
* The Fightin' Engineers have lost three matches in a row dating back to the 2013 season. 
* The team fell to Denison last season with a final score of 3-1.
* The last time Rose-Hulman defeated Denison was during the 2012 season with a final score of 3-2.
