Volleyball Seeks Best Start to a Season in Program History Against DePauw Wednesday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman volleyball team will put their unbeaten record on the line Wednesday, September 17, as the team travels to take on DePauw at 7 PM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands undefeated at 9-0 overall this season after sweeping the competition at the Earlham Invite with wins over Kenyon and Denison.
* The Fightin' Engineers have matched the best start in their program history with nine wins to start the season. 
* The last time the team went 9-0 to start the year was during the 2010 season. 
* Rose-Hulman is currently receiving votes in the AVCA Top-25 Poll, sitting in 38th with 17 points.
* Greta Carlson leads the team with 105 kills this season, averaging 3.62 kills per set. 
* Keira Ohse is another standout for the Fightin' Engineers with 81 kills and a team-high .447 hitting percentage. Her hitting percentage also leads the HCAC and ranks third in all of NCAA DIII.
* Julia Irmen leads the team and the conference with 10.57 assists per set, which ranks seventh in all of NCAA DIII. 
* Lily Ebright is the star defensively with 171 digs and 5.70 digs per set. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish sixth in the 2025 HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 40 points. 
* The team returns three HCAC All-Conference players, including Lily EbrightAmaya Harrell, and Keira Ohse.
* Ebright is the team's top returner after earning Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season last year. 
* The team is led by Rachel Delsi, entering her eighth year at the helm of the program. 
* After traveling to face DePauw, Rose-Hulman will hit the road to compete in the Illinois Wesleyan Classic on Friday, September 19, and Saturday, September 20. The team will start the weekend facing Coe on Friday at 7 PM CT. 

DEPAUW NOTES:
* DePauw enters the mid-week match with Rose-Hulman with a record of 5-6 overall this season. 
* The Tigers come off a loss to Otterbein with a final score of 3-1. 
* Madeline Ozersky leads the team with 98 kills this season, averaging 2.39 kills per set. 
* Kaiden Harrington is another talented hitter for DePauw with 89 kills this season, averaging 2.17 kills per set.
* Julia McWaters leads the team with 198 assists, and Grace Myers is the top defender with 234 digs, averaging 5.71 digs per set this year. 
* The team is led by Deb Zellers in her 32nd season as the Tigers' head coach. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, DePauw will host Hanover on Saturday, September 20, at 12 PM. 

DEPAUW SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman trails the all-time series between both teams with a record of 4-36 overall against the Tigers.
* DePauw defeated the Fightin' Engineers last season with a final score of 3-1. 
* The last time Rose-Hulman defeated DePauw was during the 2022 season with a final score of 3-1. 
* Rose-Hulman has never won a match on the road against the Tigers, totaling a 0-14 away record against DePauw.
