Fightin' Engineers Volleyball Travels to Compete in the UW-Whitewater Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman volleyball team will travel to compete in the UW-Whitewater Invitational this weekend. The team will face Illinois College on Friday, September 26, at 7 PM CT. Then, the Fightin' Engineers will face UW-River Falls and #4 UW-Whitewater on Saturday, September 27, at 11 AM CT and 1 PM CT. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands at 10-4 overall this season after picking up a win over Blackburn on Wednesday with a final score of 3-0. 
* The team had two players record double-doubles against the Blackburn Beavers, including Julia Irmen with 43 assists and 10 digs, and Emma Blanton, totaling 14 kills and 14 digs. 
Greta Carlson leads the team with 158 kills this season, averaging 3.51 kills per set. 
Keira Ohse is another standout for the Fightin' Engineers with 120 kills and a team-high .390 hitting percentage. Her hitting percentage leads the HCAC so far this year.
Julia Irmen leads the team and the conference with 10.63 assists per set, which ranks 11th in all of NCAA DIII. 
Lily Ebright is the star defensively with 279 digs and 6.07 digs per set. Her digs per set average leads the conference and ranks 10th in NCAA DIII. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish sixth in the 2025 HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 40 points. 
* The team returns three HCAC All-Conference players, including Lily EbrightAmaya Harrell, and Keira Ohse.
* Ebright is the team's top returner after earning Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season last year. 
* The team is led by Rachel Delsi, entering her eighth year at the helm of the program. 
* After competing this weekend in the UW-Whitewater Invitational, Rose-Hulman will return home to host Transylvania for homecoming on Saturday, October 4, at 11 AM. 

ILLINOIS COLLEGE NOTES:
* Illinois College stands at 4-8 overall this season.
* The Lady Blues have dropped their last four matches, most recently falling to Central College with a final score of 3-1. 
* The team is led by Delani Klaas, totaling 96 kills and 2.13 kills per set. 
* Riley Drake is also a productive hitter with 91 kills, averaging 2.07 kills per set. 
* Mady Salisbury is the defensive standout with 175 digs, averaging 3.80 digs per set. 
* The team is led by Claire Scully in her second season with the Lady Blues. 
* After competing in the UW-Whitewater Invitational, IC will travel to face Greenville on Tuesday, September 30, at 7 PM CT.

ILLINOIS COLLEGE SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 13-8 against the Lady Blues. 
* The Fightin' Engineers have won their last two matches against Illinois College with scores of 3-2 and 3-0. 
* The last time Rose-Hulman lost to IC was during the 2019 season with a final score of 3-1. 

UW-RIVER FALLS NOTES:
* River Falls stands at 7-8 overall this season. 
* The team has won their last two matches, defeating Lakeland 3-0 and St. Kate's 3-2. 
* The team is led by Lauren Noth, who totals 150 kills, averaging 2.50 kills per set. 
* Kelsey Klesner is another standout with 146 kills this season, averaging 2.75 kills per set. 
* The team's top defender is Audrey Petersen, totaling 258 kills and averaging 4.30 digs per set. 
* UW-River Falls is led by Head Coach Dipen Patel in his fourth season.
* After competing in the UW-Whitewater Invite, UW-River Falls will host UW-Oshkosh on Friday, October 3, at 7 PM CT. 

UW-RIVER FALLS SERIES HISTORY:
* This will be the first time in both programs' history that Rose-Hulman and UW-River Falls will face off. 

#4 UW-WHITEWATER NOTES:
* UW-Whitewater stands at 11-2 overall this season. 
* The team comes off a loss to Saint Olaf College with a final score of 3-0. 
* Whitewater currently ranks 4th in the AVCA Top 25 Poll for NCAA DIII. 
* Abbie Dix is the team's top weapon with 147 kills, averaging 3.34 kills per set. 
* Gaby DiMotto is another standout with 117 kills and 2.72 kills per set. 
* Natalie Lawton is the team's top defender with 224 digs this year, averaging 4.98 digs per set. 
* The team is led by Head Coach Stacy Boudreau in her 21st season with UW-Whitewater. 
* After hosting the UW-Whitewater Invite, the team will host UW-LaCrosse on Wednesday, October 1

UW-WHITEWATER SERIES HISTORY:
* Rose-Hulman has only faced UW-Whitewater once in program history. 
* During the 2023 season, Rose-Hulman fell short to the Warhawks with a final score of 3-0.
