Volleyball Hosts Rose-Hulman Invitational This Weekend

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Fightin' Engineers volleyball team will host the Rose-Hulman Invitational this weekend on Friday, September 5, and Saturday, September 6. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman stands undefeated at 3-0 overall this season after picking up wins over Eureka, Augustana, and North Central at the Lady Blues Challenge hosted by Illinois College.
* Greta Carlson, Keira Ohse, and Lily Ebright all earned All-Tournament recognition at the Lady Blues Challenge.
* The Fightin' Engineers have been picked to finish sixth in the 2025 HCAC Preseason Poll, receiving 40 points. 
* The team finished last season with a record of 11-17 overall and 4-5 in the HCAC. 
* Rose-Hulman barely missed out on the HCAC Tournament, finishing seventh in the league standings. 
* The team returns three HCAC All-Conference players, including Lily Ebright, Amaya Harrell, and Keira Ohse.
* Ebright is the team's top returner after earning Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season last year. 
* Ebright led the team with 782 digs and 7.31 digs per set, which led the conference and the entire NCAA across all divisions. 
* Emma Blanton and Greta Carlson have also been named players to watch by the HCAC this upcoming year.
* The team is led by Rachel Delsi, entering her eighth year at the helm of the program. 
* After hosting the Rose-Hulman Invitational, the Fightin' Engineers will host Webster on Wednesday, September 10, at 7 PM. 

WESTMINSTER (MO) NOTES:
* The Blue Jays have started the season at 3-1 overall this season.
* The team comes off a loss to Virginia Wesleyan University with a final score of 3-2.
* The Blue Jays will take on Central Christian on Wednesday, September 3, before competing this weekend in the Rose-Hulman Invite.
* Both Paige Rowland and Meghan Nolte lead the Blue Jays with 32 kills each. 
* Haylie Schnake leads the team on defense with 75 digs so far this season.
* After competing in the Rose-Hulman Invite, Westminster will travel to Lawrence on Wednesday, September 10, at 3 PM.

WESTMINSTER (MO) SERIES HISTORY
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 3-1 against the Blue Jays.
* The Fightin' Engineers defeated Westminster last season with a final score of 3-1.
* This will be the first time that Westminster will travel to Terre Haute to face the Fightin' Engineers, with all other contests taking place at a neutral site. 

KNOX NOTES:
* Knox has gotten off to a tough start, standing at 0-6 overall this season. 
* The team comes off a loss to Central College with a final score of 3-0 on Tuesday night.
* Maria Jabor Jahn leads the team with 28 kills this season. 
* Zoe Thunhurst is the top defensive player for the Prairie Fire, totaling 46 digs this year. 
* After competing at the Rose-Hulman Invitational, Knox will hit the road to face Eureka on Tuesday, September 9, at 6 PM. 

KNOX SERIES HISTORY
* Rose-Hulman leads the all-time series between both teams with a record of 4-0 against Knox.
* The team is undefeated against the Prairie Fire dating back to their first match in 2007, with a final score of 3-0.
* The last time both teams faced each other, Rose-Hulman earned the win in 2021 with a score of 3-2.

OHIO NORTHERN NOTES:
* Ohio Northern stands at 1-1 overall, after falling to #3 Hope and defeating Concordia Wisconsin. 
* The Polar Bears are led by Summer Hoying, who has totaled 28 kills so far this season.
* Hoying also leads the team on defense with 24 digs. 
* After competing in the Rose-Hulman Invite, Ohio Northern will host Bluffton on Wednesday, September 10, at 7 PM.

OHIO NORTHERN SERIES HISTORY
* Rose-Hulman trails in the all-time series against Ohio Northern with a record of 0-2 against the Polar Bears.
* Ohio Northern picked up a win in their last meeting with a final score of 3-0 during the 2021 season.
* The team's only other match was during the 2017 season with a final score of 3-0.
