TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Fightin' Engineers opened the 2025 season against the DePauw Tigers, who got the best of Rose-Hulman winning by a score of 40-0.
Senior
Ben Klein led the way for Rose-Hulman's offense, recording a team-high six receptions for 50 yards, while racking up 30 yards after the catch.
On the defensive side, senior
Gabe Adams recorded one sack and finished the day with seven total tackles.
Sophomore
Joseph Coveliers recorded a team-high nine tackles while sophomore
Austin Hastings added eight.
Junior
Antonio Barnes also finished the game with eight tackles, including a total of five solo tackles.
The Rose-Hulman defense closed out the first half on a high note, where they denied the DePauw defense from scoring on four consecutive plays inside the three-yard line. This included consecutive tackles at the one-yard line, which closed out the first half.
The Fightin' Engineers will be back in action on Saturday, September 13 as they face Trine in Angola, Ind. at 7 PM.
