Men's Tennis Returns to Action in Weekend Doubleheader

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers men's tennis team will continue their spring schedule with a doubleheader this weekend. The team will face Roosevelt University on Friday, February 13, at 2 PM, then face Hope College on Saturday, February 14, at 8 AM. 

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The team stands at 1-2 overall this season in dual matches.
* The Fightin' Engineers were picked as the favorites to win the HCAC this season, earning 42 points and seven first-place votes.
* The team comes off two tough losses to Case Western Reserve and DePauw.
* Rose-Hulman has won the HCAC Title the past two seasons, going undefeated in HCAC play both years.
* The team played one match earlier this season, defeating Greenville with a score of 4-3. 
Tim Eckermann and Ervin Perkowski were named First Team All-HCAC last season. 
Ephraim GuthrieEli McIntyre, and Chris Lian were named Honorable Mention All-HCAC.
* The team is led by Head Coach Matt Wilson in his third season at the helm of the tennis program.
* After facing Roosevelt and Hope, the Fightin' Engineers will look ahead to their Florida trip over spring break, where they will play a scrimmage and four matches in the first week of March. 

ROOSEVELT NOTES: 
* Roosevelt stands at 1-3 overall this season.
* The team comes off a loss to Northern Illinois with a final score of 6-1. 
* Juan Caicedo represents the team at No. 1 singles. 
* Caicedo and Justus Peters are the top doubles team for the Lakers at the No. 1 spot. 
* The Lakers finished last season with a record of 8-14 overall and 0-7 in the GLIAC. 
* Roosevelt is led by Head Coach Dominic DeNardo in his third year with the team. 
* After facing Rose-Hulman, the team will face Hope on Saturday, February 14.  

HOPE NOTES:
* Hope stands at 1-1 overall this season.
* The team comes off an exciting win over Ohio Northern with a score of 4-3. 
* Cooper Nugent leads the team at No. 1 singles this year. 
* Nugent and Alec Maynard are the team's top doubles team at the No. 1 spot.
* Hope finished last season with a record of 9-13 overall and 6-1 in the MIAA.
* The team is led by Head Coach Austin Hunt in his fifth season with the team.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, Hope will face Roosevelt on Saturday, February 14.
