TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman placed sixth overall out of 11 teams at the Indiana State Open. The Fightin' Engineers garnered 22 points, which included two top-two finishes.
Kolton Nanko and
James Kaunas led the Fightin' Engineers with second-place finishes in their respective events. Nanko achieved a personal record as he placed second overall in the pole vault with a jump of 4.81m, while Kaunas posted a second-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.23m.
Antoine Cooper achieved two top-ten finishes. He placed sixth in the weight throw with a throw of 16.48m and seventh in the shot put with a mark of 14.65m.
Grant Subbert also placed top-ten in the weight throw, as he recorded an eighth place finish with a throw of 15.50m.
The Fightin' Engineers will compete in the HCAC Indoor Championships on Saturday, February 28, at a time that is yet to be determined.
