CARMEL, Ind. -- The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the sport of men's golf. Ryan Beerheide was named the HCAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Music City Shootout. 

Beerheide led the Fightin' Engineers at the Music City Shootout over the weekend. The mechanical engineering major won the tournament, placing first with round scores of 72 and 74 for a total score of 146 (+2).

The Arlington Heights, Illinois native helped the team finish third overall in the tournament with a team score of 617 (+41).

This is the first HCAC Athlete of the Week honor for Beerheide in his college career with Rose-Hulman. 

The men's golf team will return home to host the Great Lakes Intercollegiate on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22.
