TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Rose-Hulman recorded a third-place finish in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Terre Haute.
The Fightin' Engineers recorded a team score of 586 (+18) to place third out of 15 teams. Dubuque won the tournament with a score of 562 (-6), while Aurora recorded a second place finish with a 565 (-3) score.
Owen King and
Ryan Beerheide led the way for the Fightin' Engineers as they tied for eighth place with a 144 (+2) score.
King recorded four consecutive birdies on round two, finishing the tournament with seven birdies.
Beerheide added a team-high 11 birdies, hitting eight on round one.
Aditya Reddy tied for 14
th place with a score of 146 (+4). He finished the tournament with a total of six birdies.
Ben Brander rounded out RHIT's team score in 38
th place with a 152 (+10) score.
Nate Benson competed as an individual, where he tied for 68
th place with a score of 162 (+20).
Rose-Hulman will continue their season at the Ironwood Golf Course for the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational. The two-day tournament will take place on Friday, April 3, through Saturday, April 4.
