TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers men's tennis team will begin conference play, traveling to take on Berea on Saturday, March 14, at 1 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The team stands at 3-6 overall this season in dual matches.
* The Fightin' Engineers are coming off their Florida trip, where the team went 2-2 across four matches with wins over Allegheny and Wartburg.
*
Tim Eckermann was named the HCAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week for his performance on the Florida trip.
* Eckermann totaled a record of 6-2 with a record of 3-1 in singles, and 3-1 in doubles play across four matches.
* The Fightin' Engineers were picked as the favorites to win the HCAC this season, earning 42 points and seven first-place votes.
* Rose-Hulman has won the HCAC Title the past two seasons, going undefeated in HCAC play both years.

Ervin Perkowski were named First Team All-HCAC last season.

Eli McIntyre, and
Chris Lian were named Honorable Mention All-HCAC.
* The team is led by Head Coach
Matt Wilson in his third season at the helm of the tennis program.
* After facing Berea, Rose-Hulman will return home to face MSOE in their spring home opener on Wednesday, March 18, at 5:30 PM.
BEREA NOTES:
* The Berea men's tennis team stands at 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the HCAC this season with losses to Anderson and Hanover.
* Nathan Jiang represents the team at No. 1 singles with a record of 0-2 on the season.
* Zyn Hacker is the team's No. 2 singles player, also with a 0-2 record.
* Jiang and Hacker team up to represent the Mountaineers at No. 1 doubles with a record of 0-2 this season.
* Berea was selected to finish eighth in the HCAC Preseason Poll, earning six points.
* The team is led by Head Coach Rich Dodd.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, the Mountaineers will travel to take on Transylvania on Saturday, March 21, at 11 AM.
BEREA SERIES HISTORY:
* The Fightin' Engineers are 1-0 all-time against the Berea Mountaineers.
* The two teams faced off last year for the first time in program history, with Rose-Hulman earning the win, 7-0.
* This will be the first time that the Fightin' Engineers will face Berea on the road in program history.
