Men's Tennis Battles MSOE on Wednesday Night

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers men's tennis team returns home to host Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday, March 18, at 6:30 PM. The match will be held at Terre Haute North High School.

ROSE-HULMAN NOTES:
* The team stands at 4-6 overall this season in dual matches.
* The Fightin' Engineers are coming off a shutout win in their conference opener against Berea with a final score of 7-0.
* The team is led by Ephraim Guthrie with a record of 8-3 this season in singles play. 
* The top doubles team of the year is Eli McIntyre and Ervin Perkowski with a record of 7-3 so far this season. 
* The Fightin' Engineers were picked as the favorites to win the HCAC this season, earning 42 points and seven first-place votes.
* Rose-Hulman has won the HCAC Title the past two seasons, going undefeated in HCAC play both years.
Tim Eckermann and Ervin Perkowski were named First Team All-HCAC last season. 
Ephraim GuthrieEli McIntyre, and Chris Lian were named Honorable Mention All-HCAC.
* The team is led by Head Coach Matt Wilson in his third season at the helm of the tennis program.
* After facing MSOE, the team will travel to take on Trine on Saturday, March 21, at 11 AM. The team will then return to conference play on Sunday, March 22, hosting Franklin at 11 AM. 

MSOE NOTES: 
* The Raiders stand at 3-8 overall this season.
* MSOE has lost two straight, coming off a loss to Hope with a final score of 4-3. 
* Miguel Lopez represents the team at No. 1 singles. 
* Carlos Lopez and Randy Funez are the team's top doubles team. 
* MSOE is led by Head Coach Ruth McGuire in her seventh season with the Raiders.
* After facing Rose-Hulman, MSOE will host Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday, March 28. 

MSOE SERIES HISTORY:
* The Fightin' Engineers lead the all-time series with the Raiders with an undefeated 3-0 record against MSOE.
* The last time both teams faced off, Rose-Hulman earned the win in the 2022-23 season with a final score of 5-4.
* The first time the teams played was in the 2016-17 season, with Rose earning the win, 9-0.
