Fightin' Engineers Lead Off the Season at the Music City Shootout

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. - Rose-Hulman will open the Spring Season at the Music City Shootout in Springfield, Tenn. The two-day tournament will take place on Saturday, March 7 through Sunday, March 8.
 
ROSE-HULMAN MEN'S GOLF NOTES:
* The Fightin' Engineers have recorded back-to-back HCAC Championship titles.
* Rose-Hulman recorded a team score of 886 (+46), finishing 34 strokes above second-place Transylvania.
* The team returns four of their five golfers who placed in the top 13 at last year's HCAC Championship.
* Senior Owen King won the individual championship with a score of 218 (+8).
* Junior Austin Frick placed second overall with a score of 220 (+10).
* Sophomore Nate Benson tied for seventh place with a score of 228 (+18).
* Senior Ryan Beerheide recorded a 13th-place finish with a score of 231 (+21).
* Rose-Hulman wrapped up the fall season with a first-place finish at the HCAC Preview.
* The team recorded a score of 611 (+35), surpassing Anderson by one stroke.
* Frick finished in first place with a score of 148 (+4).
* Senior Aditya Reddy tied for third with a score of 150 (+6).
* Senior Ryan Beerheide tied for sixth as he posted a score of 151 (+7).
* Senior Owen King added a tie for eighth place with a score of 152 (+8).
 
ROSE-HULMAN WOMEN'S GOLF NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman achieved a second-place finish at last year's HCAC Championship.
* The Fightin' Engineers posted a team score of 649 (+65).
* The team fields two of their top golfers from last season.
* Junior Elizabeth Ma tied for third with a score of 159 (+13).
* Erin Nolan added a tie for seventh as she recorded a score of 162 (+16).
* Nolan would also lead Rose-Hulman at the HCAC Preview in the fall where she recorded a second-place finish.
* She finished two points shy of first with a score of 163 (+17).
* Newcomers, sophomore Ally Kogler and freshman Tatum Tanchuck, tied for 28th at the tournament.
* The duo recorded scores of 215 (+69).
