Athletic Training Newcomer Checklist

STEPS TO COMPETE IN INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS AT ROSE-HULMAN:


Rose-Hulman student-athletes are required to complete steps on Sportsware, XNLT Brain, provide sickle cell trait status*, and complete a mental health screening* before being allowed to participate in varsity athletics.

Intercollegiate Athletic Physicals will be administered by Rose-Hulman team physicians in the athletic training room. The Physical Dates will be posted when they are finalized.

*Required by the NCAA


The steps to compete in Varsity Athletics at Rose-Hulman include:

1) Create Sportsware Account (ALL INFORMATION DUE AUGUST 1)

              NOTE: You MUST use your Rose-Hulman email account when establishing a SportsWare account

2) Create XLNTbrain Concussion Baseline (ALL INFORMATION DUE AUGUST 1)

3) How do I meet NCAA requirements for sickle cell trait status confirmation?  THIS DOCUMENT walks you through this process.

4) Mental health screening will be done on campus through the Student Counseling Center. This does not require any additional appointments to be made before coming to campus.

5) Student-athletes taking prescribed ADHD information MUST COMPLETE THIS FORM and return to Scott Keller, Head Athletic Trainer, at keller@rose-hulman.edu

6) Complete a physical on your designated team physical date in August. Physical dates can be seen HERE.
