TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology renews an in-state rivalry with a road matchup at Franklin College on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
The Fightin' Engineers (8-5, 4-2 HCAC) had their seven-game winning streak snapped with a 67-58 loss to Defiance College on Saturday afternoon. Senior Corey Povaleri continues to lead Rose-Hulman in scoring at 11.5 points per game. Juniors Jimmy Miller and Matt Loesing also average double figures in scoring at 10.3 points per contest.
Junior Tyler Duffy adds 9.8 points per game, and sophomore Wade Stallings rounds out the Engineer lineup at 4.2 points per contest. Sophomore Collin Wojcik adds 7.6 points per contest. Junior Dillon Reynolds, senior Michael Hallstein and junior Mitch Williams have also appeared in at least 12 contests this season.
Franklin stands 3-10 overall and 2-4 in league play entering Wednesday's matchup. Aaron Mann leads the Grizzlies at 13.1 points per game, with Trae Washington (12.7 ppg) and Robbie Prather (10.5 ppg) also in double figures. The Grizzlies are coached by veteran Kerry Prather, who enters the matchup with 479 career wins.
After Wednesday's matchup, Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday afternoon in another conference contest.
