Men 4th, Women 15th in Great Lakes Region Entering Friday RHIT Twilight Meet

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will hosts its annual Twilight Meet on Friday at the William Welch Track and Field Complex.

Rose-Hulman News & Notes:

* Rose-Hulman is ranked No. 4 in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Men's Region rankings and stands No. 15 in the Women's Regional Rankings this week
* The men have tallied 204.76 power points from the USTFCCCA to reach the No. 4 spot in the poll.  The women's point total stands at 79.49.  The men moved up two spots from No. 6 last week
* Last week, Rose-Hulman placed second on the men's side and third in the women's competition at the Indiana Division III Championships
* Rose-Hulman swept the HCAC Field Athlete of the Week awards after both Josh Himes and Gabi Razma were named Most Outstanding Field Event Athletes at the Indiana D-III Championships
* The Fightin' Engineers have won 18 consecutive HCAC Men's Track and Field Championships (10 outdoor, 8 indoor) dating back to 2008
* The women's squad won the 2018 HCAC Indoor Championship and joins the men in being picked as the Outdoor Favorites this season
* Returning men's conference champions from the 2017 outdoor season include John Evans (4-x-400 relay); Eric Fiacable (hammer); Josh Hennig (4-x-400 relay); Josh Himes (discus and shot put); Aaron Lannoy (800); and Trey Sykes (triple jump)
* Returning women's conference champions from the 2017 outdoor season include Camille Blaisdell (3,000-meter steeplechase); Gabi Razma (triple jump); and 2018 indoor All-American Jaclyn Setina (high jump)
