Men's Basketball Hosts Hanover on Saturday at 4 PM

TERRE HAUTE, Ind -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology opens its 2020 calendar schedule on Saturday with a 4 pm home matchup against in-state HCAC rival Hanover.

Rose-Hulman (4-6, 2-2 HCAC) News & Notes:

  • Rose-Hulman enters the 2020 calendar year on a two-game winning streak after defeating Bluffton and Wabash.
  • Junior Craig McGee recorded the first triple-double in the 113-year Fightin' Engineer men's basketball history against Defiance.  McGee scored 16 points with 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the 83-73 loss.
  • Craig McGee leads the Fightin' Engineers in scoring (18.0 ppg), rebounds (8.5 rpg) and assists (7.0 apg).  He has career totals of 844 points, 349 rebounds and 336 assists at Rose-Hulman.  The junior already ranks No. 5 in Rose-Hulman history in career assists with 336 and needs just seven more to move into the No. 4 spot.
  • Three players have crossed 20 points in a game this season for the Fightin' Engineers.  Craig McGee has three 20-point performances, and both Zach Callahan and Trey Wurtz have one each.
  • Head coach Rusty Loyd enters contest with a career record of 83-59.  Loyd has led Rose-Hulman to one regular season confrence title and two appearances in the HCAC Tournament Championship Game.
  • After Saturday's game, Rose-Hulman hosts the John Mutchner Cup Game against Earlham College on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.

Hanover (8-2, 2-1 HCAC) News & Notes:

  • Hanover has won three consecutive HCAC Tournament championships and has appeared in three straight NCAA Division III Tournaments.
  • Hanover won the Wheaton Holiday Tournament on Monday and Tuesday with wins over Dubuque and the host Thunder.
  • Kevin Williams was named MVP of the Wheaton Tournament and ranks second on the team in scoring at 11.4 points per game.
  • Isaac Hibbard leads the Panthers in scoring at 13.6 points per game.
