TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team opens the season with a trip to Fontbonne on Saturday and a home game against Eureka on Sunday.
Only limited and invited family members or specifically invited Rose-Hulman community members can attend home outdoor events in 2020-21. If you have not been directly contacted by a member of the team,Â
you will be refused entry into the game.  Guests must fill out the campus visitorÂ
Travel & Symptoms Form 24 hours before attending an event. Â
NOÂ visiting fans will be permitted andÂ
NOÂ members of the general public will be permitted.
ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman returns eight starters from a team that finished 3-7 during the 2020 campaign that was shortened due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Â

Gabrielle Davidson led the 2020 squad with a .387 batting average and 12 hits. Â
*Â
MaKenzie Morgan batted .385,Â
Emily Struble hit .324, andÂ
Angela Boulboulle batted .294 to round out Rose-Hulman's top five averages last season.
* Pitching wise, Struble finished with a 2.08 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 33.2 innings of work. Â
Alyssa Pinkston added a 2-2 record and 13 strikeouts in 24.2 innings.

Nicole Lang.
FONTBONNE GAME NOTES:
* Fontbonne stands 3-5 on the season highlighted by a win over Concordia Chicago and a sweep of Monmouth on Wednesday.
* After six games, Grace Paez had a team-high .389 batting average and Patience Vandermeirden had a team-high two triples for the Griffins.
EUREKA GAME NOTES:
* Eureka opens the 2021 season with Sunday's doubleheader at Rose-Hulman.
* Eureka finished the shortened Covid-19 spring season with an 8-2 record in 2020.
