Softball Hosts Manchester Friday to Start 6-Game Weekend

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team will compete in six games this weekend.  The schedule includes
* Friday April 30 - Manchester at Rose-Hulman (DH) - 5:30 pm
* Saturday May 1 - Rose-Hulman at Anderson (DH) - 1 pm
* Sunday May 2 - Defiance at Rose-Hulman (DH) - 1 pm (Senior Day at 12:45)

Only limited and invited family members or specifically invited Rose-Hulman community members can attend home outdoor events in 2020-21.  If you have not been directly contacted by a member of the team, you will be refused entry into the game.  Guests must fill out the campus visitor Travel & Symptoms Form 24 hours before attending an event.  NO visiting fans will be permitted and NO members of the general public will be permitted.

ROSE-HULMAN (8-19, 2-6 HCAC) GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman starts a stretch of 6 games in 3 days (vs. Manchester Friday; at Anderson Saturday; vs. Defiance on Sunday) with Friday's twinbill.
* Nicole Lang leads the offense with 22 hits, 15 runs scored, 18 RBIs and a .544 slugging average.  She is batting .324 on the season.
* Alexis Fortuna paces the squad in batting average at .367 with 11 hits and 2 doubles.  Mackenzie Hunt is at .385 in limited at bats (5-13) with one double.
* Jacky Newman is also over the .300 mark at .310 with two doubles and one triple.
* Reagan Knabe (.290, 3 2B, 1 HR), Angela Boulboulle (.288, 4 2B, 1 HR) and Alexis Sullivan (.162, 1 HR) have hit home runs for the Engineers this season.
* Alyssa Pinkston leads the team with a 4.56 ERA in 50.2 innings of work.
* Mackenzie Hunt is 4-4 with 59 strikeouts and a 4.60 ERA in 56.1 innings of work.
* Ashley Pinkham has pitched 45.2 innings with one shutout, a 5.82 ERA and 19 strikeouts.
* Emily Struble has tossed 18.2 innings in the circle with a 4.87 ERA and a 1-2 record.
