TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team opens the home season against Fontbonne University on Sunday at 1 pm with a doubleheader.Â
ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman completed the best Florida softball spring trip in program history with an 8-2 record earlier this month.

Nicole Lang was named HCAC Hitter of the Week after batting .441 with 9 doubles, 1 triple and 2 home runs in the 10 Florida games.

Ariel Thomasson was named HCAC Pitcher of the Week after finishing 4-1 with 1 save, a 1.03 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 34 innings of work.
*
Phoebe Worstell threw the 4th no-hitter in Rose-Hulman softball history as part of the spring trip in a 12-1 win over Fontbonne.

Ashley Pinkham has a team-high batting average of .485 with 2 doubles, 6 runs scored and 9 RBIs.
* Thomasson (.412),
MaKenzie Morgan (.378),
Angela Boulboulle (.353), Worstell (.350) and
Hailey Hofmann (.333) are all hitting over .300 for the Fightin' Engineers.
* After this weekend, Rose-Hulman returns home to face Greenville on Wednesday at 5:30 pm in a doubleheader.
