Rose-Hulman Softball Visits Greenville on Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team continues their 2023 season with a doubleheader at Greenville on Satuday at 1 PM and 3 PM CT. This will be the first games for the Fightin' Engineers since returning from their six-game spring trip to Georgia.

ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman returns from their spring trip with a 1-5 record.
* The Fightin' Engineers split with Agnes Scott and were swept by LaGrange and Emory.
* Rose-Hulman enters the season with a 15-player roster under the direction of 21st-year head coach Brian Shearer.
* The Fightin' Engineers finished last season at 18-14 with their first winning season since 2015. 
* Rose-Hulman was picked to finish 7th in the HCAC this season, in a preseason poll of league coaches released in February.
* After visiting Greenville, the Fightin' Engineers will return to the road with a pair of doubleheaders next weekend with Fontbonne on Saturday, March 18 and Blackburn on Saturday, March 19.

* This will be the Panthers first game since their doubleheader on February 25.

* Boyd also leads the team in RBIs with four.
* Alison Klaus pitches a complete game shutout in her only start with the win over Hanover.
* After this one, Greenville will return to their home field on March 18 as they host fellow HCAC opponents Franklin.

* The Fightin' Engineers have split the all-time series with Greenville 7-7.
* Greenville has won the last six meetings going back to 2014.
