TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman men's swimming and diving team hosted Valparaiso University on Friday night for Senior Day. The team fell short to the Crusaders with a final score of 154-134.
The team took the time at the beginning of the meet to honor their seniors.
Ryan Bowering,
Evan Sellers, and
David Utsis were all recognized for their hard work and dedication to the Rose-Hulman swimming team.Â
The Fightin' Engineers earned 21 top-three finishes and eight event wins and in the dual meet. Sellers was a standout placing first in the 500-yard freestyle (4:54.88) and the 1000-yard freestyle (10:20.38).
Carter Kirtz also picked up multiple event wins in the 100-yard breast (1:00.59) and the 200-yard breast (2:12.40).
Parker Siddons represented the Fightin' Engineers in the diving competition claiming first place in both the 1-meter (258.10) and 3-meter (239.25) competitions.
Vineet Ranade was the lone other multi-event winner in the 100-yard butterfly (52.74) and the 400-yard freestyle relay team (3:15.60).
The Fightin' Engineers will return to the pool tomorrow at Illinois Wesleyan at 1 PM CT.
