TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology football standout
Andrew Toler has been named a 1st-Team AFCA All-American, released by the American Football Coaches Association on Tuesday afternoon. He is just the second Rose-Hulman football player in program history to earn All-American honors from the AFCA after
Jailen Hobbs earned 1st-team honors in 2023.
The award is third All-American honor for the star punter after being named a 1st-Team All-American by D3football.com and a 2nd-team All-American by the Associated Press last season.
Toler had an exceptional year for the Fightin' Engineers in the 2024 season as he broke the school records for yards per punt in both career and single-season categories.
He finished the year averaging 47.846 yards per punt to break the single-season record while leading the conference and all of NCAA Division III. He took down the career record with a career average of 41.394 yards per punt, breaking a 46-year-old school record set by Bob Burwell in 1978.
Toler was also named 1st-Team All-HCAC and the HCAC Special Teams Player of the Year for his efforts this season.
This is the 122nd All-American award in the history of Rose-Hulman and the 29th all-time for the Rose-Hulman football program.
The Rose-Hulman football team finished the year with a record of 5-5 overall and 4-2 in the HCAC. This is the team's 14th consecutive season finishing at .500 or above.
