TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology softball team returns home to host the Greenville Panthers in a doubleheader on Thursday, March 27 at 5 PM and 7 PM.
ROSE-HULMAN GAME NOTES:
» The Fightin' Engineers enter their doubleheader against the Panthers with a record of 10-6 overall this season.
» The team comes off a weekend road trip where they dropped two games to Webster and swept their doubleheader against Eureka.Â
» Rose-Hulman started their season with their spring trip to Florida finishing the week with a record of 6-4 overall.
» The Fightin' Engineers earned four wins against Grove City and two wins against Houghton on the trip.
» Rose-Hulman opens their 22nd consecutive season under head coachÂ
Brian Shearer as the Fightin' Engineers look to bounce back from a 7-24 season in 2023 that included a 1-14 record in the HCAC.

Jessica Newsom has been the standout at the plate after her breakout performance in the team's sweep against the Fontbonne Griffins in their home opener.
» Newsome leads the team with 23 hits, 17 runs scored, nine extra-base hits, two home runs, and a slugging percentage of .633.

Aubrey Smith has also made an impact at the plate with eight extra-base hits, a team-high 14 RBIs, and team-high on-base percentage of .450.

Kayla Schnippel leads the team in batting average hitting .391 so far this season.
» Smith leads the team in the circle with a 2.14 ERA, pitching 36.0 innings with 30 strikeouts and a record of 4-1.Â
» The Fightin' Engineers have gone a perfect 18-18 as a team on stolen bases so far this season ranking third in the HCAC.Â
» Rose-Hulman was selected ninth overall in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll. The Fightin' Engineers received 20 poll points.Â

» Greenville enters their doubleheader against Rose-Hulman with a record of 10-2 overall this year.
» The team will host Harris-Stowe on Tuesday, March 26 at 2 PM and 4 PM before facing the Fightin' Engineers.Â
» The Panthers earned two wins against Mounmouth College with scores of 14-6 and 7-0.
» Madi Case leads the team with 22 hits, 17 RBIs, a slugging percentage of .878, and a batting average of .537.
» Sydnee Garrett has been the team's go to pitcher leading the team with 27.0 innings pitched and 22 strikeouts.Â
